The Progressive Dinner Party Long Beach successful Save LBUSD Middle School Sports dinner at Curley's Cafe on June 5, 2011 garnered $1,895.00 in donations. The guests included Nancy Foster, wife of Long Beach Mayor Foster and Chris Stienhauser, the Superintendent of Long Beach Unified School District. Hearing a seventh grader from Franklin Middle School speak on the importance of sports to middle school students was the highlight of the evening.

PDPLB - Save LBUSD Middle School Sports - June 5, 2011 Progressive Dinner Party Long Beach held a fundraiser to benefit Save Long Beach Unified School District Middle School Sports. Guests included Nancy Foster , wife of Long Beach Mayor Foster, Chris Steinhauser, Superintendent of Long Beach Unified School District, Harry Saltzgaver, Editor Of The Long Beach Gazette and Judy Seal, Executive Director of the Long Beach Education Foundation. The fundraiser earned approximately $1,800.00. PDPLB was very honored to have Tere Sievers and Lenore Brown as guests, two of the original PDP members.     As a coach and parent i would like to thank -you for helping the youth of Long BEACH. i BEEN A YOUNG MAN AND A COACH IN lONG bEACH SPORTS. i LOVE THIS CITY AND BELEIVE TO BE A BETTER PERSON DUE TO MY LIFE IN SPORTS AND SCHOOL.
